Power Analysers

More Accurate Power Measurements

PZ4000 Power Analyser

In the power electronics field, power measurement requires wide bandwidth performances to evaluate low to high frequencies and distorted waveform signals. The PZ4000 offers wide measurement bandwidths of up to 2 MHz and 5MS/s high-speed sampling to make accurate power measurement.

With its LCD color display, the PZ4000 can display a wide variety of measurement parameters and analyze in put wave forms as well. Various analysis functions are available to measure fluctuated or transient power during power activation or changes of motors, lighting, etc, which are difficult to measure with conventional power meters.

  • Wide measurement bandwidth (DC, up to 2 MHz)
  • Accurate capturing of input waveforms using high-speed (maximum 5MS/s) sampling
  • Voltage and current waveform display and analysis functions to enable power calculations on fluctuating inputs.
  • Harmonic analysis (up to the 500th order) and Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) functions to enable high-frequency power spectrum analysis
  • Multiple channel, synchronized measurements using multiple units and Master-Slave trigger function simplifies complex investigations.
  • Variety of display formats: Numeric, Waveform, Bar graph, Vector, X-Y
  • Sensor input module option enables evaluation of motor efficiency and total efficiency including the motor drives.

Hitec Current Measurement Solutions

The preferred current connection for power meters is the power meter direct current input. Up to 50Arms this is no problem but higher currents generate much heat in the internal shunt, making the measurement inaccurate, due to temperature drift.

  • Measures AC + DC currents at the same time
  • Isolated from the primary circuits
  • Very high stability and accuracy
  • High bandwidth
  • Also available in clamp type
  • Saturation detection circuit with automatic reset after over current
  • Can be switched on with current already present when connected
  • For higher currents the only solutions is to make use of external current sensors. Current sensors are widely available, but current sensors for accurate energy and power measurements are scare. A current sensor for electrical power measurements needs to have specifications for its internal phase shifts at different frequencies.
